Who We Are
How It All Began
Kershaws was founded by Margaret and Edwin Kershaw,
in 1946 in the small village of Scarisbrick, Lancashire.
During the 1940s, 50s, and 60s, while raising their four children and
running a busy local business, Margaret and Edwin
understood all too well what busy lives we often lead and wanted to take
some of that strain in the kitchen to give you more time for what really matters.
Margaret and Edwin always insisted on sourcing the best ingredients that money
can buy and yet maintaining value for money to our customers.
These core values have been carried on by their Sons David and Brian and Granddaughter Kayleigh. We credit Kershaws' success to our loyal customers
and the unwavering commitment of our staff who, over their many
decades of service, have become a family to us.
Our loyal customers have supported the family business for eight decades and
in turn, we make sure that our customers receive only those meals that
deserve to carry the Kershaw name - a name they can trust.

Why Frozen?
Because it's frozen (and freezing food is a natural form of preservation) it’s free from all those nasty artificial preservatives.
Our farm picked vegetables get washed and frozen within the hour, locking in all the vitamins and nutrients that are usually lost during transportation from farm to shop.
Did you know that in the UK we throw away on average a 3rd of the food that they buy? Buying frozen allows you to buy what you need and eat what you want - which means its good for your pocket and good for the environment too.
Plus, you may not know this, but the
freezing process actually stops the growth
of harmful bacteria.
